Financial Aid

Financial aid for graduate students is available from a number of sources at the University of Florida.

Many departments and colleges within UF offer scholarships, assistantships and fellowships to qualified students pursuing master's degrees and doctoral degrees. Contact your specific graduate program to find out what financial aid opportunities are available at the department and college level, and what is required to qualify for them.

The UF Graduate Fellowship Initiative combines legislative funding and private donations to create competitive financial aid packages for Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Fine Arts students. To read more about Alumni Graduate Fellowships, Graduate School Fellowships, Presidential Fellowships and fellowships offered by individual colleges within UF, visit its website by clicking here: UF Graduate Fellowship Initiative.

The UF Office of Graduate Minority Programs offers different forms of financial aid, such as scholarships and internships, for graduate students from minority and underrepresented backgrounds, such as first-generation college students and students in non-traditional majors.

The UF Honors Program offers a number of fellowships, grants and scholarships for studying here at UF or abroad. For more information, visit its website by clicking here: UF Honors Program.

The UF Graduate Student Council offers grants for graduate student research and travel. For more information, visit its website by clicking here: UF Graduate Student Council.

The online UF Graduate School Financial Aid Bulletin Board provides you with links to organizations outside UF that offer fellowships, grants and scholarships to graduate students. Visit this webpage by clicking here: Financial Aid Bulletin Board.

Finally, UF Student Financial Affairs oversees and coordinates all financial aid operations at UF. Its website has a wealth of online material about loans, grants, scholarships, student employment and other forms of financial aid from university, government and outside sources, as well who is eligible for them and how to apply for them. Check out its webpage on graduate financial aid available from departmental, college and university-wide sources on the UF campus by clicking here: Graduate Financial Aid Webpage.
