Residency"Residency" refers to whether a student is a Florida resident (in-state) or non-Florida resident (out-of-state), a classification that determines your rate of tuition at the University of Florida. Your initial residency classification is determined by the UF Office of Admission when you apply to UF. Reclassification of your residency status after you are admitted to the university is determined by the UF Office of the Registrar.
